On the hunt for a Barred Owl

 There have been many barred owls seen lately near lake Ontario, so I thought I would go have a look. I didn't think it would work out for me but I did manage to find a mixed flock of redpols and tree sparrows down in Newcastle area, and at the end of the day a Barred Owl was sitting in a tree on the side of the road waiting for me...

Rememberance Day Weekend

I had some free time this weekend and had a look around Long Sault conservation area and Newcastle on Saturday and went down to Presqu'ile on Sunday. Seen the first Snowy owl for the season fairly late in the day on Sunday at Presqu'ile near gull island here are some shots and some others birds that were around:
